SHANGHAI, May 2 (Xinhua) -- The sixth Shanghai International Garment Festival will be held here from May 10-18.

The event is sponsored by the Shanghai municipal government. Dozens of international and domestic garment manufacturers will attend the festival and display famous-brand garments at 550 booths in the large Shanghai exposition center.

On the festival schedule are fashion shows, programs on fashion trends, garment exhibitions, a modeling contest, a design competition and a symposium on the future of China's clothing industry
